County
6/29/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Lane restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Chester
County for resurfacing operations, as part of a $2 million project to
repair
and resurface 13 miles of state highway, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Wednesday, July 5, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are
scheduled
on South 13th Avenue/Olive Street/Caln Road between Business U.S. 30 and
Business U.S. 30 in the City of Coatesville and Caln Township, for milling;
• Wednesday, July 5, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are
scheduled
on Hanover Street between Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) and the Chester
County
line in North Coventry Township, for paving;
• Thursday, July 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on
Flowing Springs Road/Hollow Road between Hollow Road and St. Matthews Road
in
West Vincent Township, for paving;
• Thursday, July 6, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on
Cold Stream Road between Hares Hill Road and Route 113 (Kimberton Road) in
East

on
Birdell Road from just south of Hill Road to U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in
Honey
Brook Township, for paving; and
• Friday, July 7, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled
on
North Chestnut Street between Route 23 (Main Street) and the Berks County
line
in Elverson Borough, for paving.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work
zones because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent
on
the weather.
The state highways that have been paved under this resurfacing project
include:
• Marshall Street/Goshen Road/Phoenixville Pike between North High Street
and
Saunders Lane in West Chester Borough and West Goshen Township;
• Temple Road/Sheep Hill Road/Cedarville Road/Laurelwood Road between
Temple
Road and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) in North Coventry Township;
• Harmonyville Road/Laurelwood Road/Neiman Road from just west of Cherry
Hill
Lane to South Hanover Street in North Coventry Township; and
• Isabella Road between Chestnut Tree Road and Creek Road in West Nantmeal
Township.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in late October.
Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor
on the project which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89,
Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
