Verizon to Restrict Route 611 (Broad Street) and Route 3 (Chestnut Street) Next Week for Utility Work in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – Verizon is planning lane closures on Route 611 (Broad Street) and Route 3 (Chestnut Street) in Philadelphia, on Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for utility installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work locations are:

  • Route 611 (Broad Street) at Susquehanna Avenue; and
  • Route 3 (Chestnut Street) at 39th Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Verizon will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. For a list of all utility work and other construction projects impacting state-owned highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, visit our District 6 Traffic Bulletin.
