PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM next week on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  

The work schedule is: 

Bucks County
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, July 16, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Pine Grove Road/Yardley Road between Trenton Avenue and Sutphin Road in Lower Makefield Township.
Chester County 
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, May 14, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 282 (Creek Road) between Fairview Road and Park Lane in Wallace Township;
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, May 14, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 340 (Bondsville Road) between Marshall Drive and Meadow Drive in Caln Township;
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, May 14, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Northgate Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township; 
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, May 14, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Little Conestoga Road between Mapleflower Road and Turtle Nest Lane in Wallace Township;
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, May 21, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) between Sunny Dell Road and Starr Road in New Garden Township;
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, May 28, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Pawlings Road and Moorehall Drive in Schuylkill Township;
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, June 11, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 842 (Bridge Road/Creek Road) between Wawaset Road and Jefferies Bridge Road in East Bradford Township;
  • Monday, May 10, through Wednesday, June 30, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) between New Street and Arch Street in East Vincent Township; and
  • Friday, May 14, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Dutton Mill Road and Stoneham Drive in Willistown Township.
Delaware County
  • Monday, May 10, through Friday, October 1, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) between Winding Way and Goshen Road in Newtown Township.
Montgomery County
  • Monday, May 10, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Tennis Avenue and Penn Avenue in Abington Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
