PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties

PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  

The work schedule is: 

Chester County
  • Monday, May 17, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Dutton Mill Road and Stoneham Drive in Willistown Township;
  • Monday, May 17, through Tuesday, May 18, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 352 (Chester Road) between Tanglewood Drive and Old Orchard Lane in East Goshen Township;
  • Monday, May 17, through Friday, May 21, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 82 (Doe Run Road) between Wilmington Road and Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township;
  • Monday, May 17, through Friday, May 21, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 282 (Creek Road) between Indiantown Road and Fairview Road in Wallace Township;
  • Monday, May 17, through Friday, May 21, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Northgate Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township; 
  • Monday, May 17, through Friday, May 21, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Shady Grove Way and Cheyney Thornton Road in Thornbury Township; 
  • Monday, May 17, through Thursday, June 17, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 896 (Newark Road) between Church Road and Gypsy Hill Road in New London and Franklin Townships;
  • Monday, May 17, through Friday, June 18, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Coffman Street and Planebrook Road in East Whiteland Township;
  • Monday, May 17, through Friday, June 18, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 841 (Prospect Avenue) between Summit Avenue and Meadow Drive in West Grove Borough;
  • Monday, May 17, through Wednesday, June 30, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 841 (Coatesville Road) between Street Road and Hannum Mill Road in London Grove Township; and
  • Wednesday, May 19, through Thursday, May 20, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) at the intersection with Stony Run Road in East Vincent Township.
Delaware County
  • Monday, May 17, through Tuesday, May 18, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Steel Road and Gilmore Road in Haverford Township.
Montgomery County
  • Wednesday, May 19, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Hills Avenue and Penn Avenue in Abington Township; 
  • Wednesday, May 19, through Wednesday, July 21, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Front Street) between Balligomingo Road and I-476 in West Conshohocken Borough;
  • Thursday, May 20, through Tuesday, May 25, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) between Moredon Road and Harpers Lane in Abington Township; and
  • Friday, May 21, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Tennis Avenue and Penn Avenue in Abington Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
