The Borough is experiencing extreme flooding due to the hard and fast rainfall. Travel should be for emergencies only.
If you must be out, we remind motorists to not drive around a "Road Closed" sign or barricade for any reason. Theses barricades are put in place to protect motorists from dangerous situations on the road, whether that be high water, debris, etc. The potential dangers of venturing onto flooded roadways are numerous as those dangers are not always visible. Currents and depth of water can be deceptive so please pay attention, follow the signs placed for your safety and find alternative routes of travel. Turn around, don't drown!
