I-95 Daytime Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Surveying in Philadelphia

King of Prussia PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for surveying operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Monday, April 11, and Tuesday, April 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, intermittent lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Academy Road interchanges; and
  • Wednesday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 at the Interstate 676 Interchange.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The survey operations are part of advance engineering activities underway for future reconstruction of I-95 in Philadelphia.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com or downloading the 511PA mobile application. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
