I-95 South Off-Ramp at the Girard Avenue Interchange Reduced to One Lane Next Week for Construction in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – The southbound Interstate 95 off-ramp at the Girard Avenue Interchange in Philadelphia will be reduced to one lane on Monday, April 18, to Friday, April 22, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for overhead bridge construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to remain alert for backups on the ramp during the weekday operation. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of the $315.7 million GR4 project currently underway through mid-2022 to replace the southbound I-95 viaduct between Palmer Street in Fishtown and Ann Street in Port Richmond, reconstruct and improve the southbound on and off-ramps at Girard Avenue, and rebuild the southbound I-95 pavement between Ann Street and Allegheny Avenue.

For more information, visit PennDOT's I-95 website.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com or downloading the 511PA mobile application. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
