SEPTA Improvement to Close Butler Avenue in New Britain and Chalfont Boroughs

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that SEPTA will be performing railroad crossing replacement on Butler Avenue in New Britain and Chalfont boroughs, Bucks County, beginning Friday, December 2.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
From 9:00 AM Friday, December 2, to 6:00 PM Monday, December 5, a 24-hour closure is scheduled on Butler Avenue between Bristol Road and Tamenend Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Bristol Road, Upper State Road, and Almshouse Road/Tamenend Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The operation is weather dependent
