Rockledge Borough has declared a Snow Emergency effective 11:30 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026, through 12:00 AM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
The Snow Emergency is being declared to allow Borough public works and emergency services to safely and efficiently clear roadways and maintain access for emergency response during the storm.
Parking Restrictions
During the Snow Emergency, parking is prohibited on designated Snow Emergency Routes, which include:
* Huntingdon Pike
* Church Road
Vehicles parked on Snow Emergency Routes during the Snow Emergency may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
Parking on side streets is permitted; however, residents are strongly encouraged to use driveways whenever possible. Keeping vehicles off the street significantly improves plowing operations and helps ensure access for emergency vehicles.
Resident Responsibilities
Residents are reminded that:
* Sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours after the storm ends, including curb cuts at corner properties.
* Fire hydrants located on or near your property should be cleared of snow to ensure access in the event of an emergency.
Emergency Notifications and Updates
Important updates related to this storm will be issued through ReadyMontco as well as the Borough and Police Department's Facebook pages.
Residents are encouraged to ensure their contact information is up to date in the ReadyMontco system to receive timely emergency notifications.
Power Outages and Safety
Winter storms may result in power outages or hazardous conditions. If you experience a power outage, please report it directly to PECO at 1-800-841-4141. For your safety, do not touch or attempt to move downed wires, and do not drive around barricades or road closures.
