Parking Restrictions
During a declared snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all designated Snow Emergency Routes to allow crews to safely and efficiently clear roads.
• View the list of Snow Emergency Routes on the Township website.
Snow Removal Operations
The Public Works Department is actively implementing the Township's Snow Management Plan, prioritizing:
• Primary roads and bus routes
• Secondary (collector and through) roads
• Residential streets, cul-de-sacs, and dead-ends
Crews will continue plowing as conditions allow. Please be patient as operations progress.
Sidewalk & Property Responsibilities
• Property owners must clear a 2-foot-wide sidewalk path within 24 hours after the snow emergency ends (48 hours if more than 12 inches of snow falls).
• Remove basketball posts from the right-of-way to prevent potential damage.
• Do not push snow into the street—this is prohibited by Township ordinance.
• Please consider helping by clearing snow around nearby fire hydrants (3-foot path and clearance).
Travel & Safety Tips
• Avoid travel if possible. If you must drive, check conditions at 511pa.com.
• Watch for ice, fallen trees, and downed power lines.
• Keep emergency supplies in your vehicle if travel is unavoidable.
• Remember to bring your pets in from the cold
