PennDOT - District 6 News: I-95 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next week for Bridge Inspections in Bucks, Chester and Philadelphia Counties

I-95 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next week for Bridge Inspections in Bucks, Chester and Philadelphia Counties

King of Prussia PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on I-95 and several other state highways in Bucks, Chester, and Philadelphia counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Bucks County

  • Thursday, August 27, and Saturday, August 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, right lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 132 (Street Road) and I-295 East interchanges in Bensalem Township.

Chester County

  • Monday, August 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on eastbound U.S. 30 (Exton Bypass) and northbound U.S. 202 between the Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Route 401 (Conestoga Road) interchanges in East and West Whiteland townships; and
  • Tuesday, August 25, through Thursday, August 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Coatesville/Downingtown Bypass) between the Coatesville Interchange and Route 10 (Octorara Trail) in Sadsbury and Valley townships.

Philadelphia

  • Tuesday, August 25, and Wednesday, August 26, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, left and right rolling lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue and Allegheny Avenue/Castor Avenue interchanges.
Work on these inspections will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
