PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Weekdays for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

​King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Bucks County

  • Monday, August 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 132 (Street Road) between Harding Avenue and Route 532 (Bustleton Pike) in Lower Southampton Township.

Chester County

  • Monday, August 24, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Paoli Pike and Route 252 (Leopard Road) in Tredyffrin Township;
  • Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) at Bridge Avenue in Easttown Township;
  • Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Route 340 (Kings Highway) and Cedar Knoll Road in West Brandywine Township;
  • Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 82 (Doe Run Road) between Rokeby Road and Longview Road in Fallowfield and West Marlborough townships;
  • Monday, August 24, through Friday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 340 (Kings Highway) between Route 10 (Octorara Trail) and Bondsville Road in Caln, West Caln and West Brandywine townships;
  • Monday, August 24, through late December, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Route 372 (Valley Road) between Newport Avenue and Sixth Avenue in Sadsbury and Valley townships; and
  • Wednesday, August 26, through Friday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (Market Street) between Church Street and High Street in West Chester Borough.

Delaware County

  • Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Saint Albans Avenue and Winding Way in Newtown Township; and
  • Monday, August 24, through Monday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Tuxedo Avenue and Pomona Avenue in Newtown Township.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, August 24, through Monday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Stump Road and U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) in Lower Gwynedd Township; and
  • Monday, August 24, through Friday, September 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 611 (Easton Road) between Allison Road and Summit Avenue in Upper Moreland Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
