SEPTA to Close Swarthmore Avenue Next Week for Railroad Crossing Improvements in Ridley Park Borough

King of Prussia, PA – Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is planning to close Swarthmore Avenue between Rogers Street and Hancock Street in Ridley Park Borough, Delaware County, on Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2, for trolley track replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the 24-hour closure, Swarthmore Avenue motorists will be detoured over MacDade Boulevard, Route 420 (Kedron Avenue/Lincoln Avenue) and U.S. 13 (Chester Pike).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
