I-95, I-676 Lane Closures Next Week for Inspection Operations in Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate 95 and Interstate 676 in Philadelphia from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for inspection operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, December 9, through Wednesday, December 11, on northbound I-95 between Route 291 and Broad Street interchanges, for bridge inspections;
- Wednesday, December 11 and Thursday, December 12, on southbound I-95 between Broad Street and Enterprise Avenue interchanges for bridge inspections; and
- Wednesday, December 11 and Thursday, December 12, on eastbound I-676 between 16th Street and 8th Street for overhead sign inspections.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of their bridges and maintain other structures.
