Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) Restricted Wednesday Through Friday for Route 63 Bridge Construction in Lower Salford Township

King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) between Sharon Lane and Old Morris Road in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, on Wednesday, December 18, through Friday, December 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for traffic signal work under a project to replace three poor condition bridges carrying Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) over Unami Creek, Ridge Valley Creek and the East Branch of Perkiomen Creek in Upper Salford, Lower Salford and Marlborough townships, Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

The Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) bridges over the Unami Creek and Ridge Valley Creek have been closed and detoured since May for replacement under the project. Both bridges are expected to reopen later this month. The bridge carrying Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) over the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek is currently reduced to a single lane pattern through spring 2020.

H & K Group, Inc., of Skippack, PA is the general contractor on the $9,565,527 project which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds. The entire project is expected to finish in summer 2021.
