I-95 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties including Interstate 95 for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, June 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Broad Street and Enterprise Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
  • Monday, June 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Glenside Avenue between Heacock Lane and Church Road in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County;
  • Tuesday, June 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Ross Road between Quarry Road and Merion Street in Bridgeport Borough, Montgomery County;
  • Tuesday, June 11, through Friday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Interstate 76 and Broad Street interchanges in Philadelphia;
  • Wednesday, June 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 309 between Highland Avenue and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange in Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County; and
  • Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Interstate 76 and Broad Street interchanges in Philadelphia.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
