I-95, U.S. 422 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in the Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, June 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound Interstate 95 between the Broad Street and Enterprise Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
- Monday, June 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between the Route 23 and U.S. 202 interchanges in Tredyffrin Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, June 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single closure is scheduled on North Gulph Road between Guthrie Road and First Avenue in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, June 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Old Lincoln Highway between Route 132 (Street Road) and Horizon Boulevard in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
- Tuesday, June 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Route 232 (York Road) between Fitzwatertown Road/Terwood Road and Warminster Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County;
- Tuesday, June 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Pioneer Road between Byberry Road and Butternut Drive in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County;
- Tuesday, June 18, through Friday, June 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Interstate 76 and Broad Street interchanges in Philadelphia;
- Wednesday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Philmont Avenue between Route 132 (Street Road) and Sternermill Road in Lower Southampton Township, Bucks County;
- Wednesday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Trevose Road between Route 132 (Street Road) and Somerton Road in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
- Thursday, June 20, through Monday, June 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Route 132 (Street Road) between Old Lincoln Highway and Reading Avenue in Bensalem Township, Bucks County; and
- Tuesday, June 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM a single lane closure is scheduled on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Joshua Road and Militia Hill Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
