Route 724 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for ADA Curb Ramp Installation in Chester and Montgomery Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter periodic lane closures at several intersections in Chester and Montgomery counties, on Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for ADA curb ramp installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work locations include:

  • Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) at Laurelwood Road in North Coventry Township, Chester County;
  • Hanover Street at River Road in North Coventry Township, Chester County;
  • Hanover Street at Queen Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County;
  • Hanover Street at College Drive in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County; and
  • Armand Hammer Boulevard at Medical Drive in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Road-Con, Inc of West Chester, Chester County, is the general contractor on the $13.3 million project to improve safety and traffic flow along key corridors in Pottstown Borough and Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County and North Coventry Township, Chester County.
