Route 252, Bishop Hollow Road Restricted Next Week for Guide Rail Repair in Newtown, Upper Providence Townships, Delaware County

King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled on Route 252 (Newtown Street Road/Darby Paoli Road) and Bishop Hollow Road in Newtown and Upper Providence townships, Delaware County, on Monday, March 15, through Friday, March 19, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for guide rail repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work locations are:

  • Route 252 (Newtown Street Road/Darby Paoli Road) between Gradyville Road and White Horse Road in Newtown Township; and
  • Bishop Hollow Road between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Ridley Creek Road in Newtown and Upper Providence townships.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.

Users can also see plow truck statuses and travel alerts along a specific route using the "Check My Route" tool.
