I-95 North Double Lane Closures at Night Next Week for Construction at Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA - Two lanes will be closed on northbound Interstate 95 on Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for construction of a ramp pier at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The activities are part of the ongoing $93.6 million I-95 ramp replacement project at the interchange, where PennDOT's contractor is currently reconstructing the ramp from the bridge to southbound and northbound I-95 and Aramingo Avenue.

I-95 motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.
