PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  

The work schedule is: 

Chester County  
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 282 (Creek Road) between Crawford Road and Hawk Hill Road in East Brandywine Township;
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) between Village Square and Roberts Lane in Honeybrook Township;
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) at the intersection with Woodside Avenue in Easttown Township;
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) at the intersection with Chestnut Road in Tredyffrin Township;
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Leopard Road) between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Greenlawn Road in Tredyffrin Township;
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Conestoga Road between Hunters Lane and Upper Gulph Road in Tredyffrin Township;
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Northgate Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township; and
  • Tuesday, April 6, and Wednesday April 7, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Paoli Court and Chester Road in Tredyffrin Township.
Delaware County
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between St. David's Road/Chamounix Road and Hillside Circle in Radnor Township.
Philadelphia County
  • Monday, April 5, through Friday, April 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 22nd Street and 24th Street in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. 

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
