PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday single lane closures on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.  

The work schedule is: 

Chester County 
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) at the intersection with Constitution Drive in Pennsbury Township;
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) at 632 Baltimore Pike (Barns-Brinton House) in Pennsbury Township;
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) at the intersection with Keim Street in North Coventry Township;
  • Monday, April 26, through Monday, May 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 841 (Prospect Avenue) between Hillside Avenue and Edgehill Avenue in West Grove Borough; 
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Northgate Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township;
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, May 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 82 (Strode Avenue) between Newlinville Road and Federal Street in East Fallowfield Township and Valley Township;
  • Tuesday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Walnut Drive and Moscow Road in West Sadsbury Township;
  • Tuesday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Ship Road at the intersection with Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) in West Whiteland Township;
  • Tuesday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Exton Square Mall and Iron Lake Boulevard in West Whiteland Township;
  • Tuesday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) at the intersection with Whitford Road in West Whiteland Township;
  • Tuesday, April 27, through Monday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Schuylkill Road) between Township Line Road and Otts Lane in East Pikeland Township; and
  • Monday, May 3, through Tuesday, May 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Hibernia Road and Culbertson Run Road in West Brandywine Township.
Delaware County
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Painters Crossing and Dickinson Drive in Chadds Ford Township;
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, May 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Hoffman's Mill Road and Fairville Road in Chadds Ford Township; and
  • Monday, April 26, through Monday, May 24, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) and Lynn Boulevard in Upper Darby Township.
Montgomery County
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, May 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) at the intersection with Old Forty Foot Road in Skippack Township;
  • Monday, April 26, through Friday, June 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Rock Hill Road between Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) and Belmont Avenue in Lower Merion Township;
  • Tuesday, April 27, through Monday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Hendricks Road and Simmons Road in Lower Frederick Township;
  • Thursday, April 29, through Friday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) between Elm Avenue and Edge Hill Road in Abington Township;
  • Friday, April 30, through Friday, May 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 332 (Montgomery Avenue) between Penn Street and Jacksonville Road in Hatboro Borough;
  • Thursday, May 6, through Friday, June 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 611 (Old York Road) between Develon Road and Beech Avenue in Cheltenham Township; and
  • Thursday, May 6, through Friday, June 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 611 (Old York Road) between Spring Avenue and Ansley Avenue in Cheltenham Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
