PennDOT Names Maintenance Manager for Philadelphia

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today
that it
has named Rodney K. Stith as the new state maintenance manager in
Philadelphia.

"Rodney is a valued member of District 6's maintenance organization and
possesses the field and managerial skills to effectively direct state
maintenance operations in Philadelphia," PennDOT Assistant District
Executive –
Maintenance John Krafczyk said.

Stith, who served most recently as PennDOT's acting county maintenance
manager
in Philadelphia, will supervise a staff of 66 employees who are responsible
for
maintaining 361 miles of state highway and 422 state-owned bridges in
Philadelphia.

Stith will manage a $38.8 million annual maintenance budget and direct
numerous
transportation maintenance functions in Philadelphia, including the
development
of the annual paving program; winter maintenance operations; pavement
patching;
and incident response.

Prior to working as acting county maintenance manager in Philadelphia,
Stith
worked as an assistant highway maintenance manager in Philadelphia. He
joined
PennDOT in 1990 as a transportation equipment operator trainee.
