U.S. 202 Overnight Lane Closures Next Week in Chester County

U.S. 202 Overnight Lane Closures Next Week in Chester County

8/5/2016-KING OF PRUSSIA

Travel restrictions are scheduled at night next week on U.S. 202 in East
Whiteland Township, Chester County, as crews complete various construction
activities following this week's opening of the expressway to six lanes
between
Route 401 and U.S. 30, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT)
said today.

On Sunday, August 7, through Thursday, August 11, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
the
following morning, and from 8:00 PM Friday, August 12, to 10:00 AM
Saturday,
August 13, motorists will encounter periodic lane closures on U.S. 202
north
and south to allow crews to complete post-construction "punch list" items
in
the work zone.

The work is part of the substantially completed $63.3 million project to
widen
and reconstruct 2.5 miles of the expressway from north of Route 401 to U.S.
30,
and to rebuild and improve the Route 401 Interchange.

PennDOT removed construction barriers and opened the rebuilt and widened
2.5
miles of U.S. 202 to six lanes between Route 401 and U.S. 30 on Wednesday
morning, August 3.

Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor.

The contractor's schedule is weather dependent, and motorists are advised
to
allow additional time for travel and use extra care when driving through
the
construction zones.
