Castor Avenue, I-95 Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Bridge
Inspections in Philadelphia

1/12/2018-KING OF PRUSSIA

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Castor Avenue and Interstate
95
in Philadelphia for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, January 15, and Tuesday, January 16, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a
single lane closure and lane shifts are scheduled on northbound Castor
Avenue
between Wingohocking Street and Wyoming Avenue; and
• Tuesday, January 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Broad Street and Cargo
City/Philadelphia International Airport interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling in the work areas
because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather

dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the
structures.
