Nighttime and Daytime Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Resurfacing
Operations in Montgomery County

Nighttime and daytime lane restrictions are scheduled next week on Route
309
(Bethlehem Pike) and Route 113 (Bridge Road/Harleysville Pike) as part of a

project to repair and resurface nearly 11 miles of state highway in
Montgomery
County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Sunday, May 20, through Thursday, May 24, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between North
Wales
Road and the Bucks County line in Montgomery and Hatfield townships, for
paving
operations;
• Sunday, May 20, through Thursday, May 24, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 113 (Bridge Road/Harleysville Pike)
between
Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike/Main Street) in
Skippack
and Lower Salford townships, for milling operations; and
• Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 113 (Bridge Road/Harleysville Pike)
between
Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike/Main Street) in
Skippack
and Lower Salford townships, for utility adjustments.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zones
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor
on the $3,195,777 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed this summer.
