Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia and Bucks Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
Philadelphia and Bucks counties for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, May 7, and Tuesday, May 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane
closure is scheduled on eastbound Interstate 76 between the South Street
and
28th Street interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, May 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on
State Road between Rhawn Street and Ashburner Street in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, May 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on
U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) at the Oxford Valley Road interchange in
Middletown Township, Bucks County; and
• Friday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
Bartram Avenue between Interstate 95 and Island Avenue in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the
structures.
