High Wind Warning

This is a message from ReadyPhiladelphia.

High Wind Warning in effect from 2:47am until 10:00am. Damaging gusts up to 50-60 mph are expected. Power outages are possible.

... High Wind Warning in effect until 10 am EST this morning... 

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a High
Wind Warning... which is in effect until 10 am EST this morning.
The Wind Advisory is no longer in effect.

* Locations... southeastern Pennsylvania, much of New Jersey and
far northern Delaware.

* Winds... west wind 30 to 35 mph at times with widespread gusts 50
to 60 mph.

* Timing... winds slowly diminish beginning around 9 am or 10 am.

* Impacts... gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and
impact high profile vehicles traveling open high terrain and
over bridges. Some tree limbs or wires are expected to break
and cause power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
