Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for Tree
Removal Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
the
Philadelphia region, for tree removal operations, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• Monday, April 3, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled to
close
on the ramp from University Avenue to westbound Interstate 76 in
Philadelphia;
• Monday, April 3, and Friday, April 7, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on West End Boulevard at Green Top Road in West
Rockhill Township, Bucks County. Traffic will be controlled by flagging;
• Monday, April 3, through Friday, April 7, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Brookhaven Road between Baltimore Pike and
Bridgewater Road in Nether Providence Township, Delaware County. Traffic
will
be controlled by flagging;
• Tuesday, April 4, through Thursday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Old

Lincoln Highway is scheduled to close between U.S. 1 and Bristol Road in
Middletown Township, Bucks County. During construction, Old Lincoln Highway

motorists will be detoured over U.S. 1 and Rockhill Drive;
• Wednesday, April 5, through Thursday, April 7, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between
Allendale
Road and Moore Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. Traffic
will
be controlled by flagging;
• Thursday, April 6, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled
on Newark Road between Airport Way and Rosehill Lane in New Garden
Township,
Chester County. Traffic will be controlled by flagging; and
• Friday, April 7, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled
on
Oxford Road between Elkdale Road and Montana Drive in East Nottingham
Township,
Chester County. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones.
