Upper Darby Twp- Snow Emergency

This is a storm update from Mayor Thomas Micozzie, the major winter storm, has offered our community some challenges. It appears thus far that we received less snow than forecasted but more sleet and freezing rain. The Township crews continue to make progress on the roadways. The snow emergency declaration for Upper Darby Township will be lifted at 5:00 PM this evening Tuesday March 14, 2017.
Please remember every reasonable attempt should be made to clear your sidewalk of snow and ice. Contractors are reminded that when clearing commercial parking lots they should not push snow into the highway. This is dangerous and illegal.
Residents can call the snow hotline at 610-734-7700 until midnight this evening . We will reopen the hotline at 9:00 AM Wednesday March 15, 2017. They can also email their concerns to snowrequests@upperdarby.org . Snow emergency information and updates can be found www.upperdarby.org.
