I-95, I-676, U.S. 1 Overnight Lane Closures Next Week for Large Sign
Maintenance in Philadelphia

Overnight lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 95, Interstate 676 and
U.S.
1 (Roosevelt Extension) in Philadelphia, on Monday, December 11, through
Friday, December 15, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for
large
sign maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Northbound I-95 between the Route 611 (Broad Street) and Walt Whitman
Bridge/Packer Avenue interchanges;
• Southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo
Avenue interchanges;
• Eastbound I-676 between the Interstate 76 and I-95 interchanges; and
• Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Extension) between the I-76
Interchange and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard).

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is replacing and repairing large
sign
structures, including overhead signs throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware,
Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in August 2019.

J. D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County is the general contractor on
the
$2,796,024 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
