I-95, I-476, U.S. 1 Among Several Highways Restricted Next Week for
Overhead Sign Inspections in Delaware and Philadelphia Counties

Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways and
interstates
including Interstate 95, Interstate 476, and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard)
in
Delaware and Philadelphia counties for overhead sign inspections, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, May 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in
both
directions on I-476 between the U.S. 1 and Media/Swarthmore interchanges in
Nether Providence, Delaware County;
• Monday, May 14, and Tuesday, May 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
closures
are scheduled in both directions on Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) between U.S.
1
(Roosevelt Boulevard) and interstate 95 in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, May 15, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
westbound U.S. 322 between the U.S. 13 and I-95 interchanges in Chester
Township, Delaware County;
• Tuesday, May 15, from 12:00 PM, to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled
on
the ramp from westbound U.S. 322 to I-95 South in Chester Township,
Delaware
County;
• Tuesday, May 15, from 12:00 PM, to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Southampton Road and Old
Lincoln Highway in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled
on
Vine Street between Route 611(Broad Street) and 13th Street in
Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled
on
the ramp from southbound I-95 to U.S. 322 in Chester Township, Delaware
County;
• Wednesday, May 16, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled
on
8th Street between Vine Street and Race Street in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, May 16, from 1:00 PM, to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on the ramp from westbound U.S. 322 to I-95 South in Chester
Township, Delaware County;
• Thursday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM a right lane closure is
scheduled
on the ramp from the Betsy Ross Bridge to Aramingo Avenue in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, May 17, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to I-95 South in Philadelphia;
• Thursday, May 17, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled
on
Callowhill Street between 4th Street and 6th Street in Philadelphia;
• Friday, May 18, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
the
ramp from northbound I-95 to I-476 North in Ridley Township, Delaware
County;
• Friday, May 18, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
the
ramp from MacDade Boulevard to I-95 in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
• Saturday, May 19, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
southbound I-95 between the I-476 and Market Street interchanges in the
City of
Chester, Delaware County;
• Saturday, May 19, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in
both directions on U.S. 13 (9th Street) between Engle Street and Edwards
Street
in Chester Township, Delaware County;
• Sunday, May 20, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on
southbound I-95 just south of the Chichester Avenue Interchange in Upper
Chichester Township, Delaware County;
• Sunday, May 20, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
Wanamaker Avenue between U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) and Route 291 (Industrial
Highway) in Tinicum Township, Delaware County; and
• Sunday, May 20, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
northbound I-95 between the Market Street and Kerlin Street interchanges in
the
City of Chester, Delaware County.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
