Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) Lane Closure Scheduled Weekdays for Traffic Signal Installation in Pottstown Borough

King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter a weekday lane closure on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) at the intersection with Shoemaker Road in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County on Monday, February 17, through Friday, February 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for traffic signal installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work is part of a 100% federally funded project to improve safety and traffic flow along key corridors in Pottstown Borough and Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County and North Coventry Township, Chester County by upgrading 52 signalized intersections on 12 state highways with new equipment, facilities, and operations. The project also included widening sidewalk and installing new lighting on the Hanover Street bridge to improve pedestrian safety.

Road-Con, Inc of West Chester, Chester County is the general contractor on the $13.7 million project which is expected to finish this spring.
