For Immediate release from the Valley Township Emergency Management Coordinator
The Valley Township Board of Supervisors has enacted a SNOW(ICE) EMERGENCY DECLARATION in accordance with Township Ordinance 2008-13 for Valley Township, effective Monday, March 13, 2017 8:00pm through 6:00pm, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 or conditions improve. Remove parked cars from the street and limit travel to only emergency travel during the snow event and until roads are cleared. Conditions are forecast to be very hazardous due to widespread heavy snow and high wind. Residents and businesses are required to follow the snow emergency declaration ordinance. Shelter in Place during heavy snow conditions until roads are cleared for safe normal travel. Residents must follow the limitations of the Ordinance. Towing will be enforced for vehicles parked on Township designated snow emergency routes at the owner's expense plus fines.
Trash and Recycling pickup for Tuesday, March 14, 2017 only has been cancelled. Your trash and recycling will be picked up the following week. This only impacts Tuesday pickups.
The Valley Township Administration and Codes Offices will be CLOSED Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
