A Snow Emergency has been declared in the Borough of West Chester effective 12AM, March 14, 2017. 

Parking Availability During the Snow Emergency

All borough parking garages, except for the Justice Center garage will be available – free of charge starting at 6pm this evening, March 13 for the duration of the snow emergency.

Due to this pending storm, Borough trash & recycling collections will not occur tomorrow. Residents on the regular Tuesday collection route will receive these services on Wednesday instead. All other collection days will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

These free for use parking garages include the Chestnut Street Garage, Bicentennial Garage on High Street, New Street Garage, Sharpless Street Garage & Matlack Street Garage. Because WCU students are on break there will be additional available spaces in our garages located on Sharpless & New Streets.

Our Public Works department will be working throughout the snow event to clear the streets & roadways.
