65th Street, Lincoln Drive Restricted Next Week for Resurfacing Operations in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on 65th Street and Lincoln Drive for line striping and high friction surface treatment as part of a project to repair and resurface 15 miles of state highway in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 17, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on 65th Street between Kingsessing Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard, for line striping; and
  • Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Lincoln Drive between Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Wayne Avenue, for high friction surface treatment.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

State highways completed under this resurfacing project include:

  • Dauphin Street between Ridge Avenue and Aramingo Avenue;
  • Market Street between 2nd Street and 4th Street;
  • 63rd Street between Passyunk Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard;
  • Lincoln Drive between West Cliveden Street and West Allens Lane;
  • 29th Street between Girard Avenue and U.S. 13 (West Hunting Park Avenue;
