PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Route 3, Route 73 and Route 401 Weekdays for Utility Improvements in the Philadelphia Region

PECO to Restrict Route 3, Route 73 and Route 401 Weekdays for Utility Improvements in the Philadelphia Region

​King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on several state highways in Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties, including Route 3 (West Chester Pike), Route 73 (Township Line Road), and Route 401 (Conestoga Road), for utility improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Thursday, May 30, through Wednesday, June 5, on Route 73 (Township Line Road) between Holme Avenue and Rolling Hill Road in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County;
  • Friday, May 31, on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Buck Run Lane and Swedesford Road in East Whiteland Township, Chester County;
  • Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Garden Road and Malin Road in Marple Township, Delaware County; and
  • Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Ann Road and Latches Road in Marple Township, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
