PennDOT - District 6 News: I-95, U.S. 422, New Falls Road Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery Counties

I-95, U.S. 422, New Falls Road Restricted Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery counties including Interstate 95 and U.S. 422 for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, June 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on I-95 North between the Interstate 76 and Broad Street interchanges in Philadelphia;
  • Monday, June 3, and Tuesday, June 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on I-95 South between the Broad Street and Enterprise Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia;
  • Tuesday, June 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on New Falls Road between Bensalem Boulevard and Newportville Road in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
  • Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 422 between the Route 23 and Route 363 interchanges in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County;
  • Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on I-95 South between the Broad Street and Enterprise Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia; and
  • Friday, June 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on I-95 North between the Interstate 76 and Broad Street interchanges in Philadelphia.
    The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
