Westbound Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) Closed at Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) for Utility Repair in Downingtown Borough
King of Prussia, PA – Westbound Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) is closed at the intersection with Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) in Downingtown Borough, Chester County, for utility repair due to a water main break, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During the closure, westbound Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) motorists will not be able to continue through the intersection and will be directed to turn right onto Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue), left on Route 282 (Pennsylvania Avenue) and follow eastbound Route 282. Motorists traveling eastbound Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) will still be able to drive through the intersection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
Downingtown Water Authority will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
