Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on I-76, Route 309 and U.S. 422 in
Montgomery County for Maintenance Operations

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, Route 309 and

U.S. 422 in Montgomery County, for sweeping, debris removal, and patching
operations.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• Tuesday, December 27, through Thursday, December 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound I-76
between U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lower Merion
and
Upper Merion townships and West Conshohocken Borough, for sweeping;

• Tuesday, December 27, through Thursday, December 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Route
309
between Cheltenham Avenue and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Cheltenham,
Springfield,
Upper Dublin and Lower Gwynedd townships, for debris removal;

• Tuesday, December 27, through Thursday, December 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound U.S.
422
between the Interstate 76 and Route 363 (Trooper Road) interchanges in
Upper
Merion and West Norriton townships, for patching;

• Tuesday, December 27, through Thursday, December 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound U.S.
422
between the Armand Hammer and Route 363 (Trooper Road) interchanges in
Upper
Merion and West Norriton townships, for debris removal; and

• Tuesday, December 27, through Thursday, December 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
the right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound U.S. 422 between Pawlings

Road and the Schuylkill River Bridge in Lower Providence, Upper Providence,

Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships, for debris removal.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones.
