Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for Tree Removal
Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Daytime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state
highways
in the Philadelphia region, for tree removal operations, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, September 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging are scheduled on Red Hill Road at Dark Hollow Road in Tinicum
Township, Bucks County;
• Monday, September 11, through Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 113 (Kimberton
Road/Pike Springs Road) between Pikeland Road and Hares Hill Road in West
Pikeland and East Pikeland townships, Chester County;
• Monday September 11, through Thursday, September 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 between the
Route
100 (Pottstown Pike) Interchange to just east of the Route 282 (Wallace
Avenue)
Interchange in West Whiteland and East Caln townships, Chester County;
• Tuesday, September 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with
flagging are scheduled on Tohickon Hill Road at Stump Road in Tinicum
Township,
Bucks County;
• Tuesday, September 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard Extension) between
Broad
Street (Route 611) and Interstate 76 interchanges in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are
scheduled
on both northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Ryan

Avenue and Faunce Street in Philadelphia;
• Wednesday, September 13, and Thursday, September 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 32 (River Road)
between
Lodi Hill Road and Berm Lane in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County; and
• Thursday, September 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are
scheduled
on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Parkersville Road and Woodchuck Way in
Kennett Township, Chester County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
