PennDOT Reopens Blueball Avenue Bridge over I-95 in Upper Chichester
Township, Delaware County

9/27/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

The bridge carrying Blueball Avenue over Interstate 95 in Upper Chichester
Township, Delaware County, reopened this afternoon following a seven-month
repair project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced today.

Built in 1968, the four-span, steel girder bridge had been closed since
late
February due to structural damage sustained to the steel beams during a
water
main improvement project performed by a contractor for the local water
authority. The bridge carries approximately 3,030 vehicles a day.
