Bucks County

9/18/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

The bridge carrying Worthington Mill Road over the Neshaminy Creek in
Northampton and Wrightstown townships, Bucks County, will be closed for
three
days beginning Tuesday, September 19, at 9:00 AM, for repairs to the timber

deck, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

During the closure, Worthington Mill Road motorists will be detoured over
Route
232 (2nd Street Pike) and Swamp Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area.
The
work schedule is dependent on the weather. Local access will be maintained
up
to the construction zone.

Built in 1954, the two-span, steel-I beam bridge is 245 feet long and 16
feet
wide, and has a posted weight limit of 15 tons. The structure carries an
average of 2,489 vehicles a day.
