Overnight Lane Closures Next Week on Several State Highways for Large Sign
Maintenance in the Philadelphia Region

Motorists will encounter intermittent single and double overnight lane
closures
on several state highways in the Philadelphia region on Monday, October 16,

through Saturday, October 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for large sign
maintenance operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT)
announced today.

The work locations are:

• Interstate 95 North and South between Route 491 (Naamans Road) and
Bartram
Avenue in Delaware County;
• Interstate 76 East and West between the Gulph Mills (Route 320)
Interchange
and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Montgomery County;
• U.S. 422 East and West between the U.S. 202 and Route 23 interchanges in
Chester County; and
• U.S. 202 North and South between Chesterbrook Boulevard and Allendale
Road in
Chester and Montgomery counties.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All activities are weather dependent.

Under this regional improvement project, PennDOT is repairing large sign
structures in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. The project is
expected to be completed in May 2018.

Carr & Duff Inc., of Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor on the $2,122,200 project, which is financed with 100 percent
federal funds.
