Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Resurfacing in Bucks
County

Weekday lane restrictions are scheduled in both directions on Marienstein
Road/Bridgeton Hill Road between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Route 32
(River
Road) in Nockamixon and Bridgeton townships, on Monday, October 16, through

Friday, October 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for patching, milling and
paving
as part of a project to resurface 10 miles of state highway in Bucks
County,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.

State highways completed under this resurfacing project include:

• Oxford Valley Road/Reading Avenue between Edgewood Road and Main Street
in
Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough;
• Route 532 (Buck Road) between Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike) and Rocksville
Road
in Lower Southampton and Northampton townships; and
• Gibson Road/Bristol Road between Bensalem Boulevard and Overland Road in
Bensalem Township.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in late October.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA is the general contractor on
the
$3,191,960 project which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act
89,
Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
