Travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 76 and Interstate 95 on
Saturday, October 21, through Monday, October 23, for bridge inspections in

Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Saturday, October 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the ramp from westbound
I-76
to 30th Street will be closed. Motorists will be directed to use Exit 344
(Interstate 676 East), 23rd Street, Market Street and Schuylkill Avenue
West;
• Sunday, October 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound I-95 between the Girard Avenue and I-676 interchanges;
and
• Monday, October 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound I-95 between the Girard Avenue and I-676 interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur. All activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
