I-76 Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Bridge Inspections in
Philadelphia

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 76 and Tacony Street in
Philadelphia, for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, April 30, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, intermittent lane closures
are
scheduled on Tacony Street between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street;
• Tuesday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on
westbound I-76 between the Girard Avenue and Montgomery Drive interchanges;
and
• Wednesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is
scheduled
on westbound I-76 between the Girard Avenue and Montgomery Drive
interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
area.
The schedule is weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the
structures.
