U.S. 1 North Overnight Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Resurfacing in Bucks
County

4/27/2018-KING OF PRUSSIA

Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 from the
Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange to just north of the Route 413 (Bellevue
Avenue) exit in Bensalem and Middletown townships and Langhorne Manor
Borough,
Bucks County, beginning Sunday, April 29, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for
milling
and paving operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 27 miles
of
state highway in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today. This Sunday through Thursday operation will
continue
through Thursday, May 24.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

H&K Group, Inc., of Skippack, Montgomery County, is the general contractor
on
the $7,599,037 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from
Act
89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan.

For more information on projects occurring or being bid this year, those
made
possible by or accelerated by Act 89, or those on the department's Four and

Twelve Year Plans, visit www.projects.penndot.gov.
