ReadyMontco - Jenkintown Alert

This is a message from ReadyMontco

Jenkintown Borough has declared a Snow Emergency, effective from 10:00 PM Saturday, February 21st through 11:59 PM, Monday, February 23rd.

Due to expected snow accumulations and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of affected residents, business owners and travelers traversing the Borough, Jenkintown Borough Mayor Lerman has declared a Snow Emergency in Jenkintown Borough.

Residents are requested to move all vehicles from the streets, if possible. If you have a driveway, please park in it. If not, please park as close to the curb as possible so plow trucks can clear roadways without obstructions. Snow Emergency Routes should not have vehicles parked on them during Official Snow Emergencies.

Snow Emergency Routes include West Avenue (Summit to Washington Lane), Walnut Street (Washington to Railroad Bridge), Summit Avenue West to York Road, Greenwood Avenue (Cedar to Washington Lane), and Leedom Street (West to Summit Ave.) The Leedom Street Municipal parking lot has been made available to residents residing on a Snow Emergency Route.

Sidewalks must be clear of snow and ice 24 hours after snow has ceased falling.

If you must travel, please use caution. Borough crews are treating all roads in the Borough and will be working to keep roads clear.
