This is a message from ReadyMontco
A Snow Emergency has been declared for Lower Salford Township and will be in effect from 8:00 AM on Sunday, February 22, through 8:00 PM on Monday, February 23, due to the forecasted winter storm.
Our Public Works crew has a long and demanding couple of days ahead. Residents are asked to assist snow removal operations by following these important guidelines:
Remove all vehicles from Township roadways if you have access to a garage, driveway, or other off-street parking. Please ensure vehicles are parked fully within your driveway and do not protrude into the roadway.
On-street parking is strictly prohibited on designated Snow Emergency Routes, in accordance with Chapter 155, Article IV of the Township Code. Vehicles in violation may be ticketed and/or towed.
If you do not have access to off-street parking, please use the Harleysville Community Center parking lots on Gruber Road and Park Avenue.
Do not throw, shovel, or plow snow from your property into the roadway, as this creates hazardous conditions and interferes with snow removal.
Keep trash and recycling containers away from the roadway, especially near the curb, so they do not obstruct plows.
Thank you for your cooperation and assistance as our Public Works team works to keep Lower Salford Township roads safe and passable.
Stay warm and safe!!
